Epson's Stylus Pro 7890 & 9890 Printers to offer intelligent ink system

The new 890 series from Epson include both the Epson Stylus Pro 7890 (24 inch) and Epson Stylus Pro 9890 (44 inch.) The new 890 Series from Epson will use the existing Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink and print at nearly twice the speed of their 880 counterparts.

According to Epson the new Stylus Pro 7890 and 9890 will come standard with  Epson’s Intelligent High Capacity Ink System the new Stylus Pro 7890 & 9890 will be able to handle fill volumes of 150ml, 350ml, and 700ml Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink. Not only will users be able to choose from three fill sizes, users can actually mix and match across all three ink cartridge sizes. Meaning one could use both a 700ml Black Ink Cartridge and a 150ml Photo Black Ink simultaneously. This ability may come in handy for for users that upgrade from an Epson 7880/9880 and have extra UltraChrome K3 Ink cartridges from their Stylus Pro 7800/7880/9800/9880 on hand, saving end users money.
