Adventures in Photography: Country Wedding

When I was invited to a wedding in the country I knew there would be multiple opportunities for photos, but what I didn’t know was how little time I would have to take them. This was my first time attempt at any serious wedding shooting and I found it was much harder than it looks. One always sees the photographer at a wedding shooting everything they possibly can. I wanted to do something different. I was able to get a lot of the actual ceremony but mostly felt the best to include in this post were photos of events that surrounding the “main event.” These included a rehearsal dinner, and other exciting things of that nature. I give you a country wedding:

Spinach (Something that tasted bad as a kid but cherished as an adult)

This was my favorite shot of the entire shoot. The ceremony took place in the early evening and the “burning fire” effect I got on the bottom of the photograph was actually made by car head lights. The church was located on a remote farm in northern Illinois. Suffice to say, it was stunningly beautiful.
