National Geographic: Wishing for more, Working to get it.

When out doing a photo shoot or capturing some landscapes, it is easy to find ourselves falling back into the habit of just snapping as many shots without giving it much thought. Using the beginner philosophy that if we shoot a million photos, one is bound to turn out amazing! While this is a nice model to get a beginners out and shooting, the more advanced we become, the more we want each of our images to capture the essence and emotion of a scene or subject with excellent composition.  We find ourselves wishing for more…and that takes work. Jim Richardson, a photojournalist writing for National Geographic, explains more about the extra effort that is necessary to get an image that really works here.
