Make the Most of Your Summer

Make the Most of Your Summer

By Joe Kitchens, Commercial Sales Representative

Well June kind of snuck up there didn’t it? The year is almost half over and summer is right around the corner. For many this is a time of relaxation. For others business is going to start picking up in the next few months, so your decisions as far as what to invest in are starting now.

Here are some questions you might be asking yourself looking ahead:

  • Should I be looking to upgrade/replace my printer?
  • What would happen if my printer went down?
  • How do I improve my print quality to be the absolute best?
  • What other markets can I get into to differentiate myself?
  • How do I cut costs on my prints without sacrificing quality?
  • How can I reduce wasted time and frustration?
  • Do I have absolutely everything I need to get the job done?

These are all completely valid points for anyone in a competitive industry to consider. The state of your business depends on thoughts like these.

Let me offer 2 ideas here, both of which are closely tied together:

  1. You should be thinking about your next printer. While your printer might be going strong now, and you don’t want to “fix what ain’t broke.” When you finally do get to the point where it is broken you might be down for too long and lose business as a result. I have seen it happen, and it’s not pretty. And when you are making a decision about your next printer, a few things you need to consider are productivity, versatility, and ease of use. This brings me to my second point…
  2. You should be exploring a new market. Look for something that will set you apart and put you above the people you compete with. In the SGIA Journal’s State of the Industry released just this month, one recurring theme is that soft goods, whether it be soft signage or décor. Things like this are making a strong push in the market, and helping PSP’s set themselves apart.

Now of course I can make my suggestion here, but let me just say that we at IT Supplies have the tools to help you address these things, and propel yourself forward in the 2nd half of 2017. Let us help you do so, and help your business be the best version of itself that it can be.
